CFL Members March On

Undeterred, 54 CFL members embarked on a 2.5-kilometer journey from Welcome Rotunda to UST Grandstand, reciting the Holy Rosary along the way. The grandstand welcomed them with a vibrant dance performance by UST Salinggawi.

Inspiring Words and Shared Conviction

Opening remarks by LAIKO President Xavi Padilla emphasized the 3 Cs: Conviction, Commitment, and Community. While, Most Rev. Severo Caermare, D.D., Chairman of the Episcopal Commission on Laity, echoed the importance of standing as defenders of the unborn.

Noteworthy Talks and Testimonials

Mr. Bernard Canaberal, President of Pro-Life Philippines, stirred the crowd with a compelling speech, urging everyone to see the face of the Lord in those around them. And A couple from CFC shared the crucial role of family in valuing life. Bro. Andrew Dela Cruz also highlighted their feeding program for children aged 7 to 10, urging collective support.

The event reached its pinnacle with a Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Cardinal Jose F. Advincula, D.D., Archbishop of Manila, emphasizing the themes essence and our collective journey.

Cardinal Advincula perfectly stated, In life, we cannot walk alone. Emphasizing the need for unity in defending the sacredness of life, he reminded us of an African proverb: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Indeed, our defense and promotion of a culture of life in our society today is not a short-term engagement or a temporary battle. We know that as long as there are subtle and not so subtle attacks against the family and human life, we will be there to register our firm objection and make sure that our united stand is heard

First Impressions and Lasting Impact

First-time attendee, CFL Youth Leader Melissa Vivo, has this to share her profound experience, finding inspiration in Cardinal Advinculas words. She emphasized the importance of the youth in accompanying families, highlighting the need for love in guiding others towards truth.

Commitment to Letting our Light Shine

As the sun rose, Life Ministry Head, Bro. Joel dela Cruz, expressed the communitys commitment to Let Our Light Shine and promote the culture of life with unwavering conviction.

Truly, the Walk For Life 2024 was a remarkable day, marking our shared commitment to the sanctity of life and the strength found in walking together.
